THE ULTIMATE SAFETY CABINET

Safeflow is Microbiological Safety Cabinet (MSC) Class II, type A,B3 convertible, designed to provide protection to the operator, the product and the environment, against risks due to airborne contamination.

Ventilation of the cabinet includes recirculating air flow, filtered through high efficiency filter (HEPA) and a make-up air, passing through the front opening and then discharged through an exhaust HEPA filter into the environment.

Recirculated and make-up air flows are maintained at a pre-set value by a closed loop microprocessor, which automatically monitors and controls the air volumes, assisted by an advanced volumetric sensor.

Safeflow is a MSC certified according to EN 12469.

Incorporating a sloped front, ergonomically designed to maximise the cabinet’s operating comfort and user friendliness.

An electrically operated sliding sash can be moved up and down via a button on the control panel. An electronic device automatically searches for the optimised height of the front opening.

Operating mode:

Type A configuration: The air leaving the main HEPA filter at a constant velocity produces a laminar downflow Class 100 environment. An air barrier enters through the front opening at a velocity of 0.45 m/s and is mixed with the downflow air underneath the work surface (70% of the air is recirculated and 30% is ducted through the port on top of the unit).

Type B3 configuration: The operating principle is the same but the 30% extracted air is ducted to atmosphere.

The sash is hinged at the top, allowing easy cleaning of the internal surface of the glass. The microprocessor has a large, high resolution display, and all functions available both for operator and service staff, and are easily set through multi-task switches.

Main functions includes:

• Display of velocity/volume values of air (downflow and front barrier)
• Alarms: airflow and sash status
• Introduction of two different passwords to enter operational or service mode
• Automatic fumigation cycle (with automatic set up of front sliding sash at defined heights in the different phases of the fumigation cycle)
• UV cycles control, filters life and UV lamp life.
